The much awaited Aakash tablet is now available online. You can book your own Aakash tablet by visiting the official site of aakash tablet (link) or go to www.aakashtablet.com . This tablet is priced at Rs. 2,500 and comes with an ARM 11 - 366 MHz microprocessor and 2100mAh battery. The tablet is based on Android 2.2 OS. The device also supports Wi-Fi.
The tablet will be delivered within a week of order with an option of cash on delivery. The tablet is available online only.
Also the upgraded version of aakash named UBI Slate will be available in January and can be pre-ordered now. The upgraded version costs just Rs 499 more than Aakash and has better features as compared to aakash.
UBISlate has a faster CORTEX A8 700 MHz microprocessor, a 3200 mAh battery and is based on the Android 2.3 OS. The device also supports GPRS (SIM and phone functionality).
