The tablet was unveiled by the Indian Union Minister for Human Resource Development Mr. Kapil Sibbal. The tablet is a product from the manufacturer DATAWIND, which already manufactures its own range of tablets called UbiSurferTouch 7. The aim of launching this tablet is to make digital learning possible for even the economically weak society. Costing around 1,150 INR for Indian students, the product is undergoing a test run by over 1.5 Lakh students all around the country.
