The Story of An eminent personality

Apple Inc. founder Steve Jobs passed away on 5th of this month. Born on 24th feb 1955 in San Francisco , Steve had a dynamic personality with a vision to do something different . Apple was a result of this vision. In the 1970s Steve found "Apple" and became its chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In the late 1970s, Steve Jobs along with Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak, Mike Markkula and others designed, and marketed the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series, which were a big hit in the market. In the early 1980s, Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC's mouse-driven graphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Macintosh, the first GUI PC. He lost a power struggle with the board of directors of Apple Inc. In 1985, Jobs resigned from Apple and then founded NeXT, which was a computer platform development company that specialized in higher-education and business markets. In 1996 Apple's buyout of NeXT brought Steve back to the company he co-founded, where he served as its CEO from 1997 until August 2011.

In 1986, Apple acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm Ltd, which was then spun off as Pixar Animation Studios. He remained the CEO and a majority shareholder at 50.1 % until its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company in the year 2006. Consequently he became Disney Corporation's largest individual shareholder at 7 % and also a member of Disney's Board of Directors. On August 24, 2011, Jobs resigned from his post of Apple's CEO.

On October 5, 2011, Jobs died in California at the age of 56, 7 years after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed, but is sid to be pancreatic cancer.

At the time of his resignation, and again after his death, he was widely described as a visionary, pioneer and genius - perhaps one of the foremost - in the field of business, innovation, and product design, and a man who had "profoundly" changed the face of the modern world, revolutionized at least six different industries, and an "exemplar for all chief executives". His death was widely mourned and considered a loss to the world by commentators across the globe.
